A native of North Texas, I have lived in Carrollton and Denton County for 32 years. My wife, Susan, and I have three daughters, three sons-in-law, and five grandchildren. We are honored to call Denton County and, in particular, Carrollton home.
It was an honor to serve as Carrollton Mayor from 2017 to 2022 and, before then, as a council member from 2009-2015. My time with Carrollton enabled me to serve on the North Central Texas Council of Governments Regional Transportation Council, the Dallas Mobility Coalition, the North Texas Commission, the North Central Texas Emergency Preparedness Planning Council, and the Metroplex Mayor’s Association.
My purpose for telling you this is to let you know of my strong commitment to bringing this knowledge to my new role as your Precinct 2 Commissioner. Precinct 2 covers the southern and eastern portions of Denton County, including Carrollton, Castle Hills/Lewisville, The Colony, Corinth, Crossroads, Dallas, Denton, Frisco, Little Elm, Plano, and Shady Shores.
As a registered architect with a Master’s Degree of Business Administration and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, both from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, I bring a unique set of skills to the position. The Commissioners Court often deals with economic development, transportation, budget oversight, public safety, and working closely with our communities and neighboring counties as we plan for the ongoing growth across our region.
