  2. Weekly Recurring COVID-19 Testing Center

    September 18, 2020, 8:00 AM @ University of North Texas Discovery Park

    Denton County community members of all ages who meet eligibility criteria and are pre-registered can be tested.?Those who are not pre-registered will not receive testing. If you meet the eligibility criteria below, pre-register by calling 940-349-2585 Monday - Friday between 8AM and 5PM. Eligibility includes: Individuals with COVID-19 symptoms within the previous 7 days - OR - Critical infrastructure workers with or without symptoms - OR - Individuals aged 60 or older -OR- Individuals who have had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19 Essential critical infrastructure workers must bring proof of employment, such as an employee ID or badge, to the testing center. Symptoms include: Fever Cough Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing Fatigue Chills Muscle pain Headache Sore throat Loss of taste or smell Abdominal pain Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

    In response to the coronavirus pandemic, effective March 16, 2020, Texas Governor Abbott suspended certain Open Meeting rules to allow videoconference meetings of government bodies that are accessible to the public to decrease large groups of people from assembling. The suspension temporarily removes the requirement that government officials and members of the public be physically present at a meeting location.
