About Us

Tuberculosis (TB) skin testing is offered on Mondays and Tuesdays for $20 for high-risk individuals. You must return within 48 to 72 hours to have the test read by Denton County Public Health (DCPH) medical staff, or you will be required to retest.

DCPH provides testing, counseling, and treatment of all reported positive TB cases within Denton County. Treatment of positive reactors and case contacts is by appointment only in both Denton and Lewisville.

TB disease (active) and TB infection (latent) are both mandatory reportable conditions per Texas Administrative Code, Title 25, Part 1, Chapter 97, Subchapter A. TB disease must be reported within 1 business day. LTBI or TB infection must be reported within 1 week. DCPH provides treatment of positive reactors and case contacts.
