Purchasing


The Purchasing Department is a member of the administrative team of Denton County. Scott Arledge, CPPO, CPPB, Director of Purchasing, is employed by the Denton County Commissioners Court. He protects the interest of the Denton County taxpayers, and is responsible for assuring fair and equitable treatment to all suppliers without regard to political pressure.

The Director of Purchasing is charged with the responsibility of purchasing all supplies, materials, and equipment required. The Director also contracts for all repairs to property and supervises all purchases made on competitive bid.

To assist the Denton County Director of Purchasing, a staff of fifteen is authorized as follows:

Denton County Purchasing uses Bonfire Interactive to manage suppliers and to distribute and receive bids and proposals. Please visit Denton County Bonfire Portal to register your business. There is no cost to register as a supplier. For more information on how to register and submit in Bonfire, please watch this short video. Minority and small business suppliers are encouraged to bid on any and all Denton County projects.
