Compensation

Longevity Pay

Employees will receive $5/month for each year of service with the County up to and including 25 years.

Language Pay

Full-time and regular part-time employees in eligible positions who demonstrate the necessary verbal fluency in languages other than English will receive additional pay at the rate of either $50 per month, for regular full-time employees, or $25 per month, for regular part-time employees, for the use of these skills on the job.

Tuition Reimbursement

All regular full-time County employees who have completed their probationary period are eligible to participate in the Tuition Reimbursement program (unless made ineligible by the rules outlined in the policy). Employees earning an A will be reimbursed for 100% of allowable tuition, employees earning a B will be reimbursed for 75% of allowable tuition and employees earning a C will be reimbursed 50% of allowable tuition upon completion of the course. Employees earning grades lower than the C range will not be eligible for reimbursement.

Incentive Pay

Denton County encourages and endorses professional training and certification programs for its regular, full-time employees.

Employees who hold qualifying certificates, licenses, or degrees will be compensated if they meet the meet the guidelines approved by the Commissioners Court. Compensation is as follows:
