Pending Projects

This is a list of projects that are in design or awaiting the selection of a contractor for construction that are managed or overseen by the Department of Transportation and Engineering (DOTE).

JACKSON ROAD RECONSTRUCTION (COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 4)

From the Masch Branch to US 380 the surveying has been complete and this project now in design. Current design considerations are considering widening from 24’ to 28’ with allowances to consider for grants as well as local cooperative partners. The goal of this project is to improve safety and reduce closures from heavy rain events. Design is expected to be complete by Spring of 2023. PLAINVIEW ROAD RECONSTRUCTION (COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 4)

From the Krum city limits to FM 1173 this project just started design. Current design considerations are widening to 24’, consider cost saving measures for internal crews (or major maintenance), and improve drainage.  Design is expected to be complete by Spring of 2022.  If you have questions or concerns about this project, then please submit them to Robert White.

ROCK HILL ROAD RECONSTRUCTION / ARVIN HILL PHASE 1 (COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 1)

Connecting Denton, Cross Roads, Krugerville, and Aubrey starting 1.7 miles north of US 380 and 1.4 miles West of US 377 heading to the west then North toward Krugerville Limits this project is in design. Currently, the County has plans to reconstruct a new bridge and improve drainage as well as safety. Design is being finalized.

99% Design Complete

SEABORN ROAD/COWLING ROAD BRIDGE REPLACEMENTS (COMMISSIONER PRECINCTS 1 & 4)

Near the Ponder Town limits about 1000’ East of SH 156 this project is in design. Currently, the County has acquired ROW for the construction of a new bridge 32’ wide from outside of rail to outside of rail. Utilities’ have finished their relocate from the footprint. Funding for this project is coming from TXDOT and the federal bridge program (BRINSAP). Construction is expected to start by end of Summer 2022.
