Current Projects

This is a list of projects with a contractor working toward attaining substantial completion that are managed or overseen by the Department of Transportation and Engineering (DOTE).

HACKBERRY CREEK PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECT (COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 2)

Stretching from Hidden Cove Park to Stonebrook Parkway, this 0.8 mile project will widen the road to 28’ minimum asphalt surface with turn lanes, replace culverts to improve drainage, and improve the safety of the road.  The Project has been awarded and workers may be present on site (please drive safe).  If you have questions or concerns about this project, please submit them to James Gossie.

HILLTOP ROAD RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 4)

Stretching from FM 407 North to the Denton City Limits near FM 1830, this 4 mile project will widen to a minimum of 24’, replace culverts to improve drainage, and improve the safety of the road. DDM has won the opportunity to Rebuild the Road and has started reconstruction efforts. In an effort to reduce closure time and detour lengths, DDM has set up a project specific website to help communicate closures and detour routes for major drainage structures (https://www.hilltopinfo.net). INDIAN TRAIL IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 1)

Stretching from FM 455 to FM 2450, this 4 mile project will resurface the existing road with concrete pavement, replace culverts to improve drainage, and improve the safety of the road.  Construction has started and workers should be expected to be present on site (please drive safe).  If you have questions or concerns about this project, please submit them to James Gossie.  Thank you for your patience with any delays.

STONECREST PAVEMENT RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT (COMMISSIONER PRECINCT 4)

Stretching from FM 407 North to the Flower Mound City Limits near Canyon Falls, this 1.75 mile project will reconstruct the base and paved surface of Stonecrest Road. DDM has won the opportunity to Rebuild the Road and will be placing traffic in a one way pattern as reconstruction efforts start. COUNTY PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE (VARIES)

The following roads will be receiving preventative maintenance from Andale Construction, a Denton County Contractor: Canyon Oaks Dr, Eagles nest Cir, Falcon Ct, Fawn Hollow Dr, Folly Beach, Forest Hollow Dr, Hunter Hill Cir, Meadowview Dr, Pheasant Run Rd, and Winding Creek Way. Andale has set up a website to communicate with affected residents and asked that all questions go through https://www.ha5info.com/denton/. During the process there will be ~24 hour closure and residents will not be able to park or drive across the road during that time. We appreciate your patience and partnership in safety as we work to make the improvements to the road.
