We train explorers to respond to virtually any call or situation the modern police officer may respond to using proper tactics, techniques, and law application while following the legal and moral standards that govern today's police officers.
Gain exposure to various criminal justice careers and to have positive interaction with law enforcement professionals.
Obtain “hands-on” experience and awareness of the criminal justice system, thereby helping an Explorer make an informed decision on a career in law enforcement or a related field.

Explorers will train for competitions in the following categories :
Arrest Search Warrants
Crime Scene Search
Domestic Crisis Intervention
Suicidal/Mentally Unstable Person
Traffic Accident Investigation
Felony Traffic Stop
Misdemeanor Traffic Stops
White Collar Crime
14-20 years of age
Passing Grade in all classes
No criminal record
Pass a physical
Pass review board
Maintain appearance and demeanor in keeping with the standards set forth by the Post
Successfully complete a probationary period of 180 days.
