  • Denton County Mental Health and Mental Retardation (MHMR) - Denton County’s local mental health and Intellectual Developmental Disability (IDD) services authority. Denton County MHMR can provide psychiatric services, medication and case management.

  • NAMI Denton County - NAMI Denton County provides support group meetings in Denton and Lewisville for people living with mental health conditions. NAMI also provides meetings and classes for their family members, friends and caregivers. NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness and their families and friends.
  • Solutions of North Texas - Solutions is a sober living facility located in Denton County specializing in substance treatment. Solutions has provided counseling, Supportive Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient to individuals in the Mental Health Court who have co-occurring disorders.
  • Terrell Counseling - Terrell Specializes in counseling individuals with mental health, emotional and anger issues. Terrell has developed a Mental Health Supportive Outpatient Program and Mental Health Reintegration Group tailored for the Denton County Mental Health Treatment Court participants.
  • United Way of Denton County - The United Way of Denton County assists families in Denton County with valuable community resources. These include food, medical, mental health assistance, Veteran’s assistance, shelter, transportation and more. In 2015, The United Way of Denton County initiated and organized the Denton County Behavioral Leadership Team. The team has several workgroups working on initiatives in the community such as homelessness, mental health and veteran’s outreach.
  • University of North Texas - the University of North Texas has been working with students and other individuals in the court providing mental health and substance support.
  • Vocational Rehabilitation Services - assist consumers with mental health or physical disabilities find employment and independence. Assists consumers and families with guidance and counseling to plan vocational goals and adjust to the working world. Training to learn job skills in trade school, college, university, on the job or at home is available. Services are based on an individual’s needs.
